Subject: NEWS: AQUATHIN GOING TO WASHINGTON TO RECEIVE "E STAR" AWARD FROM PRESIDENT BUSH AND THE U.S. COMMERCE DEPARTMENT
Dear Aquathin Dealer OnLine and Friends;
As you know, Aquathin received the President's Excellence "E" Award 18 years ago from then President George H. Bush (the dad) and Secretary of Commerce Mossbacher, for our excellent achievements in the international arena. That award is given to only 50 companies in any year. I am extremely honoured to announce that Aquathin has been chosen to receive the esteemed President's E Star Award by the U.S. Commerce Department. Attached herewith is the congratulatory letter from The Honorable Mr. Carlos Gutierrez, Secretary of Commerce.
The President's "E" Award was created by Executive Order of President John F. Kennedy on December 5, 1961, to afford suitable recognition to select organizations which contribute significantly in the effort to increase United States exports. The President's "E Star" Award, which was authorized by the Secretary of Commerce on August 4, 1969, affords recognition of continued superior performance in increasing or promoting exports. Only recipients of the "E" Award are eligible for the "E Star", and the level of performance must exceed that for which the E Award was given. The E Star is the highest achievement bestowed by the U.S. Commerce Department...and very few companies make the grade. In Secretary Gutierrez's letter, you will find his comments interesting regarding the District Export Council's Export University...which was created and designed from the success of Aquathin University. DEC Export U is now offered through many of the U.S. Export Assistance Centers in the United States.
This May, Mitch, Debbie, Matt and myself will travel to Washington to meet President George W. Bush (the son) and Secretary Gutierrez to formally be presented the E Star Award in the President's Oval Office at The White House. I am told that Aquathin is the only company to receive both E and E Star Awards from both Presidents Bush...pretty cool. You know me...there will be plenty of PR for everyone to "duplicate", "laminate", "disseminate" for your Team, newsmedia, and especially for your prospective Customers. Every Aquathin Dealer and your Staff can be proud. Aquathin will reproduce the "E Star" lapel pin for you to share with your Super Achievers just as you have enjoyed these past 18 years with the "E" pin.
