South Florida Manufacturers...

              • Are you having trouble finding skilled machinists/toolmakers/welders?
              • Is the applicant pool shrinking while your opportunities are growing?
              • Do you worry about where you will find future technical staff?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then we are asking you to join our cause to develop a South Florida Manufacturing Apprentice Program (SF-MAP). Manufacturers in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties are working together to develop this program with assistance from the SFMA, the Broward County School Board and State of Florida. This program includes classroom and hands-on training towards the development of new machinists / toolmakers / welders.

Establishing the program and curriculum is only the start. We are also developing a marketing plan to increase awareness among South Florida manufacturers. Success of this initiative is dependent on participation / support of South Florida manufacturers.

Your involvement is vital to the future of skilled technical staffing in South Florida!
