Question:
Are manufacturers the only ones who can join the SFMA?
Answer:
No. Many companies involved in the production and movement of goods and products are considered manufacturers. This includes firms involved in the creation of hi-tech products (such as software), warehousing, distribution, and logistics. In addition, companies that service and support the manufacturing community (i.e., financial firms, insurance, personnel, etc.) may also become members. Membership is restricted to 30% consisting of non-manufacturers at any time.
