SFMA is very proud to announce that one of our corporate members FedEx has again been named to FORTUNE Magazine’s list of "America’s 100 Best Companies to Work For". The following is the company’s announcement. Congratulations to FedEx!!
Earlier today we learned that FedEx has again been named to FORTUNE Magazine’s list of America’s 100 Best Companies to Work For. This honor is based primarily on survey results from randomly selected people across all FedEx operating companies. Because FedEx Express is the largest operating company, the majority of those surveys went to Express employees. FORTUNE’s evaluation process also includes a comparison of our compensation, benefits, employee programs and Human Resources practices with other U.S. based companies.
This marks the tenth time we’ve made this prestigious list in its 11-year history. FedEx was by far the largest company on this year’s list. Our inclusion on this list is consistent with similar recognition we have received around the world – being named among the best employers in China, Mexico, France and India during this past year.
This honor speaks once again to the importance of a decision made in the earliest days of our company – to put People first. Through the economic ups and downs and competitive challenges of the past 35 years, that philosophy has endured and served us well. We can all be proud that the culture of our company sets us apart from other companies, and makes us especially unique in the transportation industry. In fact, FedEx is the only transportation company on this list of America’s Best Companies to Work For. The special philosophy and culture of FedEx will once again allow us to succeed in spite of the economic and business challenges we face today.
Please pass this news on to your employees, and be sure to thank them for the vital role they play. Recognition like this is always a reflection of the quality and dedication of our People.
