The SFMA will hold an Incumbent Worker Training Grant Consortium meeting to begin the process of determining which training would best meet your immediate needs. If you are like most Florida businesses, employees are your key asset. Whether you run a large manufacturing firm, work as a small vendor, or operate a production business, a ready and capable workforce is essential to your success. There are grant funds available for manufacturers and you may qualify.
This meeting will cover the details of how the consortium will work and the type of training offered as well as a number of items that companies should know in order to obtain training funds. Below is a brief list of the types of possible training offered as part of the consortium.
- CNC Machining
- Methods and Standards
- Statistical Process and Control
- Project Management
- Tool & Die
- Quality Control
- Artificial Intelligence
- CAD / CAM Design
During this meeting we will answer many of the questions you may have regarding funding. Representatives, from both the state and local workforce agencies, will be present to explain the process and how to apply for various funds. Attendees should walk away with a much better understanding of the steps and processes to be a part of the consortium and how to obtain other available funds. This is the only meeting of its kind held this year. - It’s an opportunity not to be missed!
