Value Stream Mapping

This course will be used to create a material and information flow map of production processes. This powerful tool maps the flow of raw material beginning with its entrance in the back door, moving through the manufacturing process steps, and concluding at the loading dock as finished product. This tool also maps the information flow from the customer, through the enterprise to suppliers and back to customers. The transformation methodology focuses on actual financial and workforce constraints. It takes an enterprise systematically from its current state of operations to a dramatically improved future state - a Lean Enterprise. Prerequisite: Principles of Lean Manufacturing.
