Board of Directors
The SFMA is guided by an elected Board of Directors as chosen by the member companies of the SFMA. Each Director is elected to serve a 3 year term. At any one time, there are up to 18 members comprising the Board of Directors. The three year terms are staggered so that up to 6 members are up for election each year.
To be a member of the Board of Directors, your company must be in good standing as a member of the association. The Board is comprised of primarily manufacturers, but is not restricted solely to manufacturers. The Board of Directors sets the policies and procedures for the association and is responsible for hiring a President to manage the daily operations.
The Board of Directors elects a Chairman to lead the organization and the Board. The Chairman serves a one-year term as Chairman. In addition, a Vice-Chair is also selected, as well as a Secretary and Treasurer.
