Members can advertise unlimited openings at no cost and access a large list of available applicants. In most cases, the SFMA will post your job openings with local workforce groups to gain additional free advertising and recruiting services.
Grants for Training
With great success, over the past 12 months, the SFMA has helped 26 member companies obtain thousands of dollars in grant funds to train new and existing employees. Our member employers, in matching funds, contributed over $2 million to this year’s effort, totaling almost $3,000,000 in training. Grant funds provided training to the South Florida workforce to upgrade the skills and salaries of manufacturing employees, thereby improving the companies’ competitive advantage and avoiding layoffs due to inefficient skills.
SFMA Training Institute/Consulting Services
In house training or consulting is offered on technical issues and technology improvement initiatives. These include many areas of production such as project management, machine training and certification, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, software/engineering programs and many more. The SFMA also offers a number of training courses to build your employees’ internal capabilities from basic supervisory training to advanced people management. The SFMA pulls upon a wide range of cost effective trainers and experts to ensure your employees reach their maximum potential, while improving your company’s performance.
