Tom Kennedy is Executive Director of South Florida Manufacturers Association.
Tom has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance and public accounting. He had been the Chairman of the Board of SFMA since 2005 and most recently accepted the position of leadership for this association as Executive Director during a period of difficult transition. He has also served as the Secretary/Treasurer of Manufacturers Association of Florida since its inception in 2005. Tom has a passion for manufacturing and is involved in Legislative, Regulatory and Workforce advocacy issues at the regional, state and national levels.Please contact Tom at tkennedy@sfma.org |

June Wolfe has been President of the South Florida Manufacturers Association for more than 20 years. An advocate for the growth and economic success of the region's manufacturing industry; June speaks out to legislators and the community on the importance of manufacturing to a stable economy and works to create an environment that is "friendly" to maintaining and growing manufacturing businesses and a qualified workforce. She has served on the founding boards of: The Florida Sterling Council; the Florida Manufacturing Extension Partnership - two years as Chairwoman; and the Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF) of which she is Past-President. During her tenure as President of SFMA, many new programs and services have been established, including the SFMA JobBank, the Manufacturers Training Institute (MTI) and the Green2Green Symposium. Dennis Battistella wears two hats for SFMA. One is Director of Workforce Development and the other is Trainer/Consultant. Dennis helps members design and implement training plans and helps them obtain grant funding when appropriate. He also delivers training when it falls under his areas of expertise - Operations and Materials Management and Lean Manufacturing. Before coming to SFMA Dennis' career spanned the manufacturing spectrum of jobs - beginning in materials management and progressing to the position of general manager. In his spare time he teaches Operations Management at both Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University. Dennis can be reached by writing dennisb@sfma.org. |

Barbara Smith is the SFMA Office Manager. Her responsibilities include ensuring a smooth-functioning office, assisting with membership, training and all SFMA events, in addition to bookkeeping and maintaining the SFMA database. Still rather new to Florida, Ms. Smith comes from California where she worked at Stanford University for 14 years. She brings with her a wealth of experience in executive-level support and administration, office management and grant writing skills. Barbara can be reached at bsmith@sfma.org. |

Rachael Lewington is the SFMA’s Membership Director supporting the recruiting of new members to the association. Rachael first joined the SFMA as Membership Director in 2001. In 2003 Rachael piloted the SFMA Workforce Development Intermediary project and implemented the program for gaining government training grant opportunities, which is now managed by Dennis Battistella. Rachael’s background is in the staffing industry of over 25 years. Having worked for the three largest global staffing companies Manpower, Spherion and Adecco, she started her own business “Premier Placements” in 2001, and has since served provided many of the SFMA members with Recruiting, Training and HR Consulting services. In addition to being the current SFMA Membership Director Rachael is our go-to person for our members seeking guidance with Recruiting and Human Resource related issues.
