The SFMA is pleased to announce the launch of its newly formed SFMA Safety Committee. The Safety Committee is a resource and sounding board for members seeking guidance to identify the proven resources to improve or establish safety programs. The mission of the Safety Committee is to unite a group of Environmental Health and Safety and Risk Management professionals within the SFMA membership to create opportunities for networking, collaboration, and roundtable discussions. The goal is to provide members with access to subject matter experts for developing a safety culture and providing advisory services on safety training, supplies, compliance references, and risk management practices.

The Committee met on Friday, February 2 for the kick-off meeting and the Chair of the Committee selected was Marty Perrone, Director of Electrical Safety and Code Compliance from Carpenter Electric and the Vice Chair selected was Sarah Chavez(Pic), EHS Manager from Trividia Health. Ana Sasmiresan, organizer of the Safety Committee, would like to thank all the founding members who volunteered their time and expertise to this initiative. Those members are:

  • Wilfred Davies, EHS Manager from Cardinal Health
